Caustic Soda Flakes

Caustic Soda Flakes

Caustic Soda Flake (sodium hydroxide, NaOH) is a highly alkaline, white, solid substance commonly used in various industrial applications. It is produced through the electrolysis of salt and is primarily used in chemical manufacturing, soap production, water treatment, oil refining, and cleaning. In water treatment, it helps adjust pH, and in the production of soap, it facilitates the saponification process. Caustic soda is also used in the textile and food industries, as well as in biodiesel production. Due to its caustic and corrosive nature, it requires careful handling with protective equipment to prevent burns or injuries.

Acetic Acid

Acetic Acid

Acetic acid (CH₃COOH), also known as ethanoic acid, is a colorless liquid organic compound with a sharp, sour taste and a pungent smell, commonly found in vinegar (4-8% concentration). It is a simple carboxylic acid used in food preservation, chemical manufacturing (e.g., plastics, synthetic fibers), pharmaceuticals, and household cleaning. Naturally occurring in plants and fermentation processes, it is also produced industrially from methanol. Acetic acid is highly soluble in water, corrosive in concentrated forms (glacial acetic acid), and flammable, requiring careful handling.

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen Peroxide

Hydrogen peroxide (H₂O₂) is a pale blue liquid (colorless when diluted) with strong oxidizing properties, widely used as a disinfectant, bleaching agent, and oxidizer. It is a simple molecule consisting of two hydrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms, with a weak oxygen-oxygen bond that makes it highly reactive. Found naturally in small amounts in biological systems as a byproduct of metabolism, it is commonly produced industrially. Hydrogen peroxide is used in healthcare for wound cleaning, in households for stain removal and cleaning, and in industry for bleaching textiles and paper. It is unstable and decomposes into water and oxygen, especially in the presence of light, heat, or metal ions, necessitating storage in dark containers.

Calcium Chloride

Calcium Chloride

Calcium chloride (CaCl₂) is a white, crystalline salt that is highly soluble in water and hygroscopic, meaning it absorbs moisture from the air. It is widely used for de-icing roads, dust control, accelerating concrete setting, water treatment, and as a food additive (E509). In agriculture, it prevents calcium deficiencies in crops. Calcium chloride releases heat when dissolved in water and must be stored in airtight containers due to its moisture-absorbing properties. While versatile, it can irritate skin and impact the environment if overused.

Calcium Hypochlorite 60% and 65%.

Calcium Hypochlorite 60% and 65%.

Calcium hypochlorite (Ca(ClO)₂) is a white granular or powdered disinfectant used for water treatment, sanitization, and bleaching. The 60% and 65% grades refer to the available chlorine content, with 65% being slightly more potent. It is commonly used in drinking water and swimming pool disinfection, as well as in industrial bleaching and surface sanitization. Highly reactive and moisture-sensitive, it must be stored in a cool, dry place and handled carefully to avoid irritation or fire risks.
